when I was little, I always dreamt to carry the blade
and slay the beasts of the wild, not knowing what that would imply
I could not wait for the days to come, how could I know?
the urge to fight was growing and was matched by my power
the goal was clear and bright, but still no challenge was in sight

I watched him die, stricken with horror, there is no honor in death

the days went by and I did what I had to and the only thing I was taught

have they left me?
